FFOA is the acronym for "Former FAO and Other UN Staff Association"

Established in 1971, FFOA works to advance the interests of UN retirees in general and especially those from UN Italy-based organisations, regardless of where they elect to spend their retirement. FFOA focuses primarily on pension issues and medical insurance (After Service Health Insurance) issues. FFOA supports its members in these two areas by acting as an interlocutor where possible and answering questions for members. FFOA is based at FAO headquarters in Rome, with a global membership of about 2,200 pensioners from FAO, IFAD, WFP, ICCROM, and other UN organizations, and across both the General Service and Professional categories.
